“AI” in recruitment is the buzzword of 2025. But many AI tools are just simple chatbots or disconnected features. At PageUp, we believe in building a true AI co-pilot, one that doesn’t just respond to commands but can proactively manage the complex, end-to-end hiring journey.
That was the vision behind RevUp 2025, our annual PageUp hackathon.
This innovation isn’t just a thought exercise. Last year’s People’s Choice Winner, Paige the recruiting co-pilot, went from a hackathon concept all the way to a main-stage premiere at HR Tech in the USA.
This year, ‘RevUp’ went global. Our product and engineering teams from Melbourne, Manila, Harpenden, and Dublin formed teams to channel their creativity and push the boundaries of agentic AI.

The challenge: Building “The next Paige”
As we continue to advance Paige’s capabilities, we set our global teams a new, ambitious challenge. The brief was simple: create “The next Paige.”
We didn’t want just more features; we wanted a leap in capability. We challenged our teams to:
- Go beyond simple responses: How can Paige initiate multi-step workflows or interact with other systems in our Talent Acquisition suite?
- Automate truly complex processes: Can Paige manage the headache of complex interview scheduling or route approvals for new hires?
- Become a true co-pilot: How can Paige proactively take repetitive administrative tasks off the plates of recruiters and hiring managers?

The results: A glimpse into the future of hiring
Over 3 action-packed days, our PageUp teams delivered. We saw incredible prototypes that address some of the biggest challenges in talent acquisition today:
- Instant career sites: Creating a fully branded, content-rich careers site in minutes, simply by describing the desired brand visuals, tone, and content. Why it matters: It gives talent teams the agility to spin up targeted landing pages for new roles, departments, or regions without waiting on technical resources.
- Smarter, faster screening: Using natural language to screen, compare, and shortlist candidates based on required skills, experience, qualifications, and checks. Why it matters: This moves beyond basic keyword matching, allowing recruiters to find the best-fit talent faster and reduce time-to-hire.
- End-to-end scheduling automation: Automating the complex scheduling of multi-interviewer, multi-timezone interviews for large candidate pools that meet specific criteria. Why it matters: It eliminates one of the most time-consuming and frustrating administrative burdens for recruiters and hiring managers.
- Seamless onboarding and provisioning: Automatically triggering onboarding workflows, sending offer letters, and provisioning system access for new hires the moment they are approved. Why it matters: This ensures a flawless Day 1 experience for new employees and removes the administrative load from HR and IT.
- On-demand data and reporting: Allowing managers to ask Paige for data insights, like “Show me the time-to-hire for my open roles”, and get an instant, custom report built. Why it matters: It democratises data, empowering hiring managers with self-service analytics and freeing up your operations team from building one-off reports.

Building AI with intention
Innovation is only valuable if it solves real-world problems. That’s why we’re excited to share these prototypes with our customers. Through our regular experience research sessions with real users, we can incorporate their feedback and ensure we are building AI that is intentional, ethical, and solves the challenges that matter most.
